How could the Desciples Preach Messiah- The Savior from the scriptures- or what is commonly called the Old Testament? Could you?

Article by brother George Gabler called " THE SAVIOR "".

And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto
them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.
[Luke 24:27]

Have you ever heard anyone just use the Old Testament to preach Messiah?

THE SAVIOR

Judaism rejects Christianity and the writings that support it, because the religion of Christianity does away with the Law, and because scripturally there is only "ONE=YHWH" worthy of worship, all else is a form of idolatry, in spite of the fact that Judaism, like it's wayward child, serves GOD ( See the BLOG at address below), not YAHWEH!

http://www.freewebs.com/elyah/myblog.htm

When it comes to Who "saves", the scriptures say that YAHWEH is the Savior.

Isaiah 43:3 For I am YAHWEH thy Eloheem, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee.

Isaiah 43:11 I, even I, am YAHWEH; and beside me there is no saviour.

That is true. YAHWEH SAVES! YAHWEH is the Redeemer!

Isaiah 44:6 Thus saith YAHWEH the King of Israel, and his redeemer YAHWEH of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no mighty one.

[note the two, and the unity!]

Isaiah 47:4 As for our redeemer, YAHWEH of hosts is his name, the Holy One of Israel.

Isaiah 41:14 Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith YAHWEH, and thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.

Isaiah 49:26 And I will feed them that oppress thee with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine: and all flesh shall know that I YAHWEH am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.

Isaiah 54:5 For thy Maker is thine husband; YAHWEH of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The mighty one of the whole earth shall he be called.

Isaiah 63:16 Doubtless thou art our father, though Abraham be ignorant of us, and Israel acknowledge us not: thou, O YAHWEH, art our father, our redeemer; thy name is from everlasting.

Don't the Greek writings say that the "Son" is the Savior? Yes. Why would thousands of Jews, even those of the priesthood, get caught up in the Messianic fervor of the 1st century? Is there really a Son of "YAHWEH"? Let's investigate a few scriptures, and see if there really is a "son".

The first place to begin, at least for this discussion, is with a prophesy that raises the question of the "son's" name.

Proverbs 30:1 The words of Agur the son of Jakeh, even the prophecy: the man spake unto Ithiel, even unto Ithiel and Ucal,
2 Surely I am more brutish than any man, and have not the understanding of a man. 3 I neither learned wisdom, nor have the knowledge of the holy.
4 Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son's name, if thou canst tell?

The prophecy of the Son's name is crucial to understanding that there WOULD BE A SON, and WHO the Son actually was! In fact, it is already implicit in the prophecy that the son is the son of the Almighty.

But isn't it a little strange that this prophecy, which was probably given in the days of Nehemiah when Judah came out of Babylonian captivity, is asking a question regarding names, rather than stating what they have known for a thousand years? This prophecy indicates a future occurrence.

Before we go to the revealing prophecy that actually names the Son, there are a few other things to look at. In Psalm 2 we see that there is Yahweh's messiah...that he is King, and a son begotten by Yahweh.

Psalm 2:1 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? 2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against YAHWEH, and against his anointed (messiah), saying, 3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Sovereign shall have them in derision.
5 Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.
6 Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion. 7
I will declare the decree: YAHWEH hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee. 8 Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession. 9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.
10 Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth. 11 Serve YAHWEH with fear, and rejoice with trembling. 12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

I will declare the decree: YAHWEH hath said unto me,
Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee

Primary is the fact that there is a prophecy (Prov 30) regarding the "son" and His name, and that the Son would be begotten of YAHWEH, Messiah ... and King (Psa 2).

How does Yahweh beget a son? Many would ignore or explain away the prophecies regarding the begotten Son of YAHWEH. And many misapply the scripture, but we will discover the real truth of this as we proceed. We'll come back to that, but let's focus on identifying Who this "son" will be.

By the way, YAHWEH says...

Surely the Sovereign YAHWEH will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets. [Amos 3:7]

Proverbs 30:4 asks...what is His Son's Name.... so, let's begin with the name. Few realize that the begotten Son of Yahweh is actually named hundreds of years before He came. The true Messiah was prophetically named in Zechariah chapters 3 & 6. In fact, six times (the number of man) the High Priest who bore iniquity is identified as "Yah'shua" (like "Joshua" with a "Y") and said to become The Branch ... "Yahweh our Righteousness" (Jer 23:5, 33:15).

Zechariah 3:1 And he shewed me Yah'shua the high priest standing before the angel of YAHWEH, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him.
2 And YAHWEH said unto Satan, The YAHWEH rebuke thee, O Satan; even YAHWEH that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire?
3 Now
Yah'shua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the angel.
4 And he answered and spake unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment.
5 And I said, Let them set a fair mitre upon his head. So they set a fair mitre upon his head, and clothed him with garments. And the angel of YAHWEH stood by.
6 And the angel (messenger) of YAHWEH protested unto
Yah'shua, saying,
7 Thus saith YAHWEH of hosts; If thou wilt walk in my ways, and if thou wilt keep my charge, then thou shalt also judge my house, and shalt also keep my courts, and I will give thee places to walk among these that stand by.
8 Hear now, O
Yah'shua the high priest, thou, and thy fellows that sit before thee: for they are men wondered at: for, behold, I will bring forth my servant the BRANCH.
9 For behold the stone that I have laid before
Yah'shua; upon one stone shall be seven eyes: behold, I will engrave the graving thereof, saith YAHWEH of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.

Also note that Yahweh spoke referring to the other YAHWEH! Note that the YAHWEH who spoke is called the messenger, i.e. "angel". This is a clear example of Yahweh speaking to Yahweh, thus the "us" and "our" of Genesis 1:26. Eloheem, then, is a collective of more than one that share common characteristics. Here, the Yahweh Who Speaks is the Messenger of the other Yahweh. This is important regarding Who is the Messenger of the Covenant in Malachi 3:1.

Zechariah 3 states His prophetic human name as Yah'shua five times, showing this is the work of Grace! There are also some other amazing revelations!

While much can be written, we may summarize that "Yah'shua" is or becomes: A high priest, covered with dirty clothes (i.e. sin), a brand plucked from the fire, is cleansed (by the Will of YAHWEH), given the clean clothing (of righteousness) and miter of the High Priest (with YAHWEH'S name3 inscribed in gold on the forehead), told that he will Judge YAHWEH'S house, and is called "the BRANCH"! And that Yahweh would remove iniquity in one day! INCREDIBLE! How powerful would a sacrifice have to be to completely remove iniquity? Pretty powerful, to be sure! This never applied to the son of Yahosedek, therefore it is a prophetic description of Yah'shua, the Messianic Prince to come. Add Psalm 2 and we understand that this is Yahweh's begotten Son, King, and Messiah.

Now notice the sixth reference to the name Yah'shua, AND the sevenfold description.

Zech 6: 11 Then take silver and gold, and make crowns, and set them upon the head of Yah'shua the son of Yahosedech, the high priest;
12 And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh YAHWEH of hosts, saying,
>Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH;
>and he shall grow up out of his place,
>and he shall build the temple of YAHWEH:
13 Even he shall build the temple of YAHWEH;
>and he shall bear the glory,
>and shall sit and rule upon his throne;
>and he shall be a priest upon his throne:
>and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.

Revealing the name Yah'shua a total of six times shows the work of a man. In Zechariah 6 the name Yah'shua is used once, revealing that He is The One, bringing YAHWEH'S Grace and Truth to man. In addition, He grows up...also showing a required human begettal...builds the Temple of YAHWEH, bears the glorious name of YAHWEH3, and shall rule as King Messiah and High Priest, bringing the counsel of peace (acceptance) between man and Eloheem.

Zechariah is important because it shows the depth of the Messianic work, but not entirely in detail. We do know, however, that Yahweh names His Son centuries before He arrives!

A quick note (and another topic of study): The name "Yah'shua" comes from the name [vwh, Hosheah (Ho-shay-ah: hey-waw-sheen-ayin: Strong's @1954) meaning "salvation". The addition of the "yothe" at the beginning, and a second "waw" between the "sheen" and the "ayin", changed "Ho" to "Yah" and "sheah" to "shuah", also changing the meaning from the generic "salvation" to "Yah-saves". Very important!
It is clear from both Deu 3:21 & Judges 2:7 that the original spelling of "Yah'shua" contained six Hebrew letters, [wvwhy, yothe-hey-waw-sheen-waw-ayin.
However, the "waw", originally added into [[vwh] Hosheah making [[wvwhy]Yah'shua, was subsequently replaced by a vowel point, a chamets, [[;vuAhy>] three diagonal dots beneath the "sheen", which in effect retained the vocalized second "waw", evidenced in the continued pronunciation of "shua" even though the "waw" is not written. The chamets must be retained for correct pronunciation. The omission of the chamets, reducing the name to five letters, also changes the pronunciation to Yah-u-sha. However, we know that is incorrect. Therefore, in the use of all six Hebrew letters, the pronunciation of the first "waw" is rendered silent, as the well-known pronunciation of "Joshua" attests. This is also seen in the LXX [Septuagint] Greek transliteration ihsou IHSOU [Englsih=IHSOU], which omits the first "waw", "ou" in LXX Greek, articulation, but retains the second, [Ihsou] and is transliterated into English as IH-SOU-(the ayin is dropped).
For those who aren't familiar with LXX Greek grammar, the "ou" in the LXX Greek is a dipthong, combined letters, which represent a single articulation, and not separable unless the correct pronunciation is retained, in this case, the long "U" sound. If the first "waw" were to be articulated, the LXX Greek would have to read... ihousou, (Yah-U-shU(a)) which is never used. So in "Yah'shua", the first "waw" is silent, thus omitted in the LXX Greek transliteration, and the second "waw" remains articulated and also retained in the LXX Greek as "ou", an English long "û" vocalization. The proper name, then, is "Yah'shua".
It should also be noted that the vowel pointing for YAH, the "yothe-hey", is identical in both YAHWEH, and Yah'shua, but actually altered the pronunciation to "Yeh" as to NOT pronounce the sacred name, even by accident. The proper vowel pointing can be seen in "YAH" (Strong's #3050), drawing a connection directly to Yahweh, Who is the One Who Saves.
The name [wvy, "YshUA" (yothe-sheen-waw-ayin), from the Ezra-Nehemiah texts, do not have the "hey-waw" of [[wvwhy] Yah'shua, and does not actually contain an "e", which is added in Yeshua. This presents a transliteration problem in LXX, because letter for letter [wvy would be isou (ISOU (the ayin is dropped)) which in Greek means "equal" (LXX Exo 26:24), but does NOT mean "Yah-Saves". Let me repeat that again. ISOU does NOT mean "Yah-Saves"! Which is why the LXX does not directly transliterate [wvy ... "yothe-sheen-waw-ayin"... in the Ezra-Nehemiah texts.
However, names can be obtained in Greek if the ending Hebrew "ayin" is changed to an "hey" (H), or another "yothe" (Y/I), because we see that ISOU(H) is rendered Isuah, and that ISOU(I) is rendered Ishuai (1Chron 7:30). But that wasn't done with "YshUA".
It is obvious that the Hebrew Ezra-Nehemiah texts wanted to retain the knowledge of Yah'shua, the son of Nun, but because of the Babylonian captivity, being removed out of the promised land, and being cut off from YAHWEH who saves them, the name of the son of Nun, which meant "Yah-saves", was altered to reflect their exile and being cut off from YAHWEH. The LXX transliteration of Yah'shua, however, had to be altered so as to not be the word "equal", thus the deviation from the actual Hebrew texts and reverting to the LXX transliteration ihsou (IHSOU) of pre-exilic texts. This could never be construed as an endorsement of "Yeshua" as the proper name, because the LXX doesn't alter the ending to create a phonetically correct version, but rather reverts to the older "Yah'shua" as the correct form. It is just as important to note that the Zechariah, when naming the coming Messiah, referred to the complete Hebrew name, Yah'shua. Now, back to the narrative.

Yah'shua, descendent of David, is THE BRANCH out of the "root of Jesse" which stands for a ensign to the people (Isa 11:10),

Isaiah 11:10 And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.

Jeremiah clarifies that this is not David, but a descendent of David.

Jeremiah 33:15 In those days, and at that time, will I cause the Branch of righteousness to grow up unto David; and he shall execute judgment and righteousness in the land. 16 In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely: and this is the name wherewith (he) shall be called, YAHWEH our righteousness.

Jeremiah 23:5 Behold, the days come, saith YAHWEH, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth. 6 In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, YAHWEH OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.

Remember, Zechariah identifies Him as "Yah'shua"!

It is important to note that these prophecies came hundreds of years after David, yet pointed to a Branch in the lineage of David...NOT David himself!

Notice the approximate length of time after ...David lived about 1040bce...Isaiah 762bce = 280 years...Zechariah 748 = 292 years...Jeremiah 620bce = 420 years...Zephaniah 615bce = 425 years...Habakkuk 605bce = 450 years...Ezekiel 592bce = 448 years...Joel 591bce = 449 years, and all are between 591 BCE and 762 BCE... centuries before the coming Messiah!

Also, it is clear that there is a transition between growing up...which requires being begotten as a man...with YAHWEH as the father, bearing sin, being cleansed and becoming High Priest & King...called YAHWEH OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS, and saving Judah and Israel.

First the anointed One must come as a man..."Yah'shua"...

Therefore the Sovereign himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. [Isa 7:14]

The term "virgin", from the Hebrew word "almah" essentially means young woman, probably only approaching a marriageable age, not "ishshah", the general term for a married woman (430 times), or woman in general (324 times). If nothing else, this points to a "child bride"!

And shall call his name Immanuel... or "with us is El". Note that the scripture doesn't say His name is "Immanuel", but just that His name is called "with us is El"..."immanuel". This also points to the One Who is from everlasting.

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty El, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of YAHWEH of hosts will perform this. [Isa 9:6-7]

It should also be pointed out that Zechariah's prophecy shows that this "Yah'shua" will wear the "fair mitre, so would be anointed as the high priest. This presents a change in the priesthood, thus a change in the Law, since this High Priest is from the line of Judah, not from Aaron or Levi.

Genesis 49:10 The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh (the one who's right it is) come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.

He hath said, which heard the words of El, and knew the knowledge of the most High, which saw the vision of the Almighty, falling into a trance, but having his eyes open: I shall see him, but not now: I shall behold him, but not nigh: there shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a Sceptre shall rise out of Israel, and shall smite the corners of Moab, and destroy all the children of Sheth. [Numbers 24:16-17]

...and will come from the town of BethlehemJudah

Micah 5:2 But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.

Micah pointedly reveals that this Ruler in Israel existed in eternity...but will come out of Judah and specifically from Bethlehem, yet must also be a descendent of David, i.e. human.

So this One Who is to be the governor, and is from everlasting, must empty Himself of His inherent power and glory (of His name) in order to become begotten by a woman of Judah, of the lineage of David, and be born in the town of Bethlehem, and be given the name...Yah'shua! So...

Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass. [Zech 9:9]

Zechariah 9:9 is important because it shows that the Messianic Prince has salvation, but comes "lowly".

He shall also be associated with the Galilee region.

Nevertheless the dimness shall not be such as was in her vexation, when at the first he lightly afflicted the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, and afterward did more grievously afflict her by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, in Galilee of the nations. The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined. [Isaiah 9:1-2]

More specifically, the town of Nazareth...

And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch (rc,nE netser {nay'-tser} i.e. the town of the branch, Nazareth) shall grow out of his roots: [Isaiah 11:1]

This Yah'shua is said to be "just, and having salvation", yet scripture also says Yahweh is the Savior. There is no contradiction. However, let's continue.

In a time of trouble, under the oppression of a foreign power when judgment languishes, the Redeemer would come as a man, an intercessor.

Isa 59:14 And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter. 15 Yea, truth faileth; and he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey: and YAHWEH saw it, and it displeased him that there was no judgment. 16 And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him. 17 For he put on righteousness as a breastplate, and an helmet of salvation upon his head; and he put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloke.
18 According to their deeds, accordingly he will repay, fury to his adversaries, recompence to his enemies; to the islands he will repay recompence.
19 So shall they fear the name of YAHWEH from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of YAHWEH shall lift up a standard against him. 20 And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith YAHWEH.
21 As for me, this is my covenant with them, saith YAHWEH; My spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed's seed, saith YAHWEH, from henceforth and for ever.

That the "intercessor" will be a "man" is clear. That "his arm brought salvation unto him" indicates this is none other than the Son/Messiah!

When will this Ruler come?

The prophet Daniel gave a direct time when Messiah the Prince would come.

Dan 9:25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem

... unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks:

Artaxerxes gave this command in 457BCE (Ezra 7).

seven weeks = 7 weeks

threescore and two = 60 + 2 = 62 weeks

or 7 + 62 = 69 weeks...

or 69*7 = 483 days

What happened in 483 days? Not a thing! The Messiah did not come.

But in a prophecy regarding Judah we are told this:

And when thou hast accomplished them, lie again on thy right side, and thou shalt bear the iniquity of the house of Judah forty days: I have appointed thee each day for a year. [Ezek 4:6]

However, counting 69 weeks, i.e. 483 years from 457BCE does bring us to 27CE...(the 27th Jubilee? and) the year Yah'shua (Zech 3&6) would be anointed by YAHWEH. Since this Messiah was to be a 'priest', he would also have to be thirty years old (in that year), to began His service (Numbers 4:3,23,30,35,39,43,47).

the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.
26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself:

Remember, In Zechariah 3 Yah'shua is wearing dirty clothes and has to be cleansed and given the symbol of the High Priest, the miter. Daniel says that He will be cut off, i.e. killed, but not for himself. Isaiah fills in the details.

Isaiah 53:1 Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of YAHWEH revealed?
2 For he shall grow up [Jer 33:15 and Zech 6:12 show that this is Yah'shua, the One that becomes THE BRANCH ... YAHWEH OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS] before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.
3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of Eloheem, and afflicted. 5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and YAHWEH hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth. 8 He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken. 9 And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.
10 Yet it pleased (satisfied) YAHWEH to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of YAHWEH shall prosper in his hand. 11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities. 12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

We are also told the manner of the "Yah'shua's" execution.

For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet. I may tell all my bones: they look and stare upon me. They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture. [Psalm 22:16-18]

... and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn. [Zech 12:10]

And that "Yah'shua" would be betrayed by a friend for thirty pieces of silver

And I said unto them, If ye think good, give me my price; and if not, forbear. So they weighed for my price thirty pieces of silver. And YAHWEH said unto me, Cast it unto the potter: a goodly price that I was prised at of them. And I took the thirty pieces of silver, and cast them to the potter in the house of YAHWEH. [Zech 11:12-13]

Thus the Shepherd would be struck down by betrayal

And one shall say unto him, What are these wounds in thine hands? Then he shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends. Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man that is my fellow, saith YAHWEH of hosts: smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones. [Zech 13:6-7]

Continuing in Daniel... when will this occur?

27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

One week is seven years...but in the middle of that period, or in three and a half years, he (Yah'shua -Zechariah 3&6) would be "cut off" (Dan 9:26) "cut off out of the land of the living" (Isa 53:8). And if Daniel is correct about the timing of the coming of Messiah being 483 years from Artaxerxes decree, then it is apparent that three and a half years from the fall of the year 27 comes to the spring of the year 31, when this Yah'shua would be put to death.

Since this is the lamb that is slaughtered for the justification of iniquity, combined with the implementation of an intercessor that protects those covered by the blood sacrifice, just as the Israelites were protected from the destroyer by the intercession at the first Passover, this Yah'shua also becomes the ultimate Passover sacrifice. Passover that year occurred on a Wednesday...the middle of the week!

But it is against the Law to require human sacrifice! Therefore, this sacrifice must be a free-will offering, because scripture says...

Psalm 40: 6 Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire; mine ears hast thou opened: burnt offering and sin offering hast thou not required.
7 Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me,
8 I delight to do thy will, O my Eloheem: yea, thy law is within my heart.

Now, let's consider Isaiah's words, "YAHWEH hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.... And he made his grave with the wicked... for he shall bear their iniquities."

If this is true, and this Yah'shua (Zech 3&6) bore all iniquity as a freewill offering, making every evil and depraved sin HIS OWN... literally becoming sin...DYING IN SIN!

Yes...dying in sin! Think about it. If He was who He claimed, and He took all sin upon Himself, and died...He literally died in sin! Do you understand what happened to that sin? Keep reading!

In addition, the law clearly states that anyone hung on a TREE is cursed!

Deu 21:22 And if a man have committed a sin worthy of death, and he be to be put to death, and thou hang him on a tree: 23 His body shall not remain all night upon the tree, but thou shalt in any wise bury him that day; (for he that is hanged is accursed of Eloheem;) that thy land be not defiled, which YAHWEH thy Eloheem giveth thee for an inheritance.

Do you believe the scriptures? Was the one you worship hung on a tree? Scripture says that the True Savior would be hung on a tree. Which "savior" have you been led to? The one that wasn't hung on a tree? Are you willing to bet your salvation that your savior, who wasn't hung on a tree... and who's name isn't Yah'shua...is the right one? Ask yourself...would worshipping the wrong savior make a difference to your salvation? Does truth make a difference?

If Yah'shua is the true Messiah, He bore our iniquities when He was hung on a TREE, and became a curse for us!

Remember...this is not what a religion teaches, it is what the Word of Yahweh teaches! Now prepare yourself for the greatest shock of your life!

Deuteronomy says that anyone "hanged is accursed of Eloheem". What is that curse?

Deu 29:20 YAHWEH will not spare him, but then the anger of YAHWEH and his jealousy shall smoke against that man, and all the curses that are written in this book shall lie upon him,

"YAHWEH will not spare him"? Not even His "begotten son"? That's what scripture says! Do you believe what scripture says? How about this?

...and YAHWEH shall blot out his name from under heaven.

Let it sink in ..."and YAHWEH shall blot out his name from under heaven"!

21 And YAHWEH shall separate him unto evil out of all the tribes of Israel, according to all the curses of the covenant that are written in this book of the law:

His prophetic human name is, according to the Word of YAHWEH, BLOTTED OUT from under heaven! Blotted out of what? Blotted out of THE BOOK OF THE LIVING! [Psa 69:28]

THAT IS THE CURSE OF SIN!

Have you been taught the truth about the real Savior...that His prophetic human name was BLOTTED OUT of the book of life? Or have you been taught that His prophetic human name or some other human name is glorified?

We are sinners and it is OUR name that should be blotted out of the book of life! But according to the scriptures, YAHWEH lays our iniquities upon His son, Yah'shua, and would not spare Him, His only begotten son, even blotting out His prophetic human name...because it was required by Law! Deuteronomy 29:20-21 is emphatic! Therefore, He had to be under the Law...and die under the Law!

Do you really understand? The prophetic human name of Messiah is CURSED...and blotted out of the book of life...because He would bear our iniquities! He would become sin for us!

HIS HUMAN NAME CAN NOT BE THE NAME OF LIFE! IT CAN NOT BE THE NAME OF SALVATION!

Man-made religions that teach that salvation is in a human name...any human name... are lying to you, and put you under THAT CURSE! They are teaching doctrines after their own traditions, not the word of salvation! They say they honor Yahweh, but deny His name. They say they speak the truth, but ignore scripture that contradicts their doctrines. Truth doesn't matter and falls by the wayside...

In transgressing and lying against YAHWEH, and departing away from our Eloheem, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood. And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter. [Isa 59:13-14]

Wherefore the Sovereign said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men: [Isa 29:13]

Do you love the name that has become with synonymous with sin? Do you still love the name of the curse?

What is THE name of salvation?

From time immemorial, Yahweh was the Savior. Yahweh was the name of salvation.

Behold THE RESURRECTED SON!

Remember that Zechariah describes Yah'shua being clothed with filthy garments. Garments are something that are put on, which is the bearing of the iniquity of others...Yahweh has laid upon Him the iniquity of us all, Yah'shua is made an offering for sin.

Zechariah clearly shows that once the filth of iniquity is put on, it becomes His own, i.e. "thine iniquity". But pay attention of how that iniquity is handled; YAHWEH simply takes "....away the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment."

But how can this Yah'shua make intercession if He is dead? In an act of YAHWEH'S WILL to simply cause sin to "pass from thee", Yahweh ransoms His Firstborn from the power of the grave...He is redeemed from death! There was no repentance involved, because scripture is fulfilled where YAHWEH says:

I will ransom them from the power of the grave;
I will redeem them from death:
O death, I will be thy plagues;
O grave, I will be thy destruction
:
repentance shall be hid from mine eyes. [Hosea 13:14]

Isaiah 43:25 I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.

Isa 44:22 I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, thy transgressions, and, as a cloud, thy sins: ... for YAHWEH hath redeemed Jacob, and glorified himself in Israel.

So this One Who became sin because of others, yet without repentance, had that sin removed in mercy and forgiveness, and that iniquity was not imputed, making this Yah'shua most blessed of YAHWEH.

Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. 2 Blessed is the man unto whom YAHWEH imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile. [Psalm 32:1 {A Psalm of David, Maschil.}]

YAHWEH says that HE will ransom from the power of the grave, and He will redeem from death, that He will destroy the grave. So, how is death defeated? By Life!

Isaiah states:

Isa 25:8 He will swallow up death in victory; and the Sovereign YAHWEH will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for YAHWEH hath spoken it. 9 And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our eloheem; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is YAHWEH; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.

Even Job looked forward to a resurrection.

But man dieth, and wasteth away: yea, man dies, and where is he? As the waters fail from the sea, and the flood decayeth and drieth up: So man lieth down, and riseth not: till the heavens be no more, they shall not awake, nor be raised out of their sleep.
O that thou wouldest hide me in the grave, that thou wouldest keep me secret, until thy wrath be past, that thou wouldest appoint me a set time, and remember me!
If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come. Thou shalt call, and I will answer thee: thou wilt have a desire to the work of thine hands. [Job 14:10-15]

Because Job understood that Yahweh was Redeemer!

For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see the MightyOne: [Job 19:25-26]

The government is to be given to Yah'shua, descendant of David, and He also bears the glory of Yahweh. Notice this outstanding prophecy.

20 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will call my servant Eliakim the son of Hilkiah:

The prophecy is connected to the names Eliakim and Hilkaih. Eliakim means...El (the Mighty One) raises, and Hilkiah means...my portion is Yahweh. So, Yah'shua, would be given the key of the house of David, would also be the One raised or resurrected by Yahweh and be given the glory of His Father's house...not only of David...but Yahweh's house!

21 And I will clothe him with thy robe, and strengthen him with thy girdle, and I will commit thy government into his hand: and he shall be a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to the house of Judah.
22 And the key of the house of David will I lay upon his shoulder; so he shall open, and none shall shut; and he shall shut, and none shall open.
23 And I will fasten him as a nail in a sure place; and he shall be for a glorious throne to his father's house.
24 And they shall hang upon him all the glory of his father's house, the offspring and the issue, all vessels of small quantity, from the vessels of cups, even to all the vessels of flagons. [Isa 22:20-24]

He shall have "all the glory of his father's house"...yet we are also told that Yahweh doesn't give that glory to others.

I am YAHWEH: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images. [Psalm 42:8]

There is no contradiction! Yahweh will do this for His own sake.

For mine own sake, even for mine own sake, will I do it: for how should my name be polluted? and I will not give my glory unto another. [Isa 48:11]

It should be no surprise that Yahweh would begin the process of redemption with His Firstborn.

I have raised him up in righteousness, and I will direct all his ways: he shall build my city, and he shall let go my captives, not for price nor reward, saith YAHWEH of hosts. [Isa 45:13]

So death cannot hold the righteous one, or any He will raise up. Remember the prophecy regarding the key of David and what Eliakim and Hilkiah mean!

Death is swallowed up by YAHWEH!

[Psalm 89:24-28]

But my faithfulness and my mercy shall be with him:
and in my name shall his horn be exalted. [Psalm 89:24]

But my faithfulness and my mercy shall be with him:

Because...He could not repent of sins that He didn't personally commit! He bore OUR sin, making them His own, but He would be totally incapable of repenting! So He died in sin! Therefore the removal of sin was by the will and mercy of YAHWEH. (Zech 3:4 And he answered and spake unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment.)

Sin was removed by the Will of The Father!

Isaiah said that ...

...he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors .... [53:12] showing that He died in sin.

...and scripture says that the life is in the blood [Lev 17:11], so this "Yah'shua" would pour out His life's blood. The sin offering was to be burnt outside the camp (Exo 29:14), because the Tabernacle of Yahweh was outside the camp ...

And Moses took the tabernacle, and pitched it without the camp, afar off from the camp, and called it the Tabernacle of the congregation. And it came to pass, that every one which sought YAHWEH went out unto the tabernacle of the congregation, which was without the camp. (Exo 33:7),

...so "Yah'shua" would also suffer outside the walls of the holy city.

And we were told that YAHWEH will do this for His Name's sake, and that repentance would not, indeed...COULD NOT be required of His Holy One...so He would be raised ...

...and in my name ...

...shall his horn be exalted.

In My Name...YAHWEH!

Let them praise the name of YAHWEH: for his name alone is excellent; his glory is above the earth and heaven. He also exalteth the horn of his people, the praise of all his saints; even of the children of Israel, a people near unto him. Praise ye YAH. [Psa 148:13-14]

How does Yahweh exalt the power of his people? What is that blessing?

And they shall put my name upon the children of Israel; and I will bless them. [Numbers 6:27]

O YAHWEH our Sovereign, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens. [Psalm 8:1 (9)]

And His horn...His POWER shall be exalted... RAISED UP/RESURRECTED...IN YAHWEH'S NAME!

Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation. [Psalm 91:14-16]

The word "deliver" is translated from the Hebrew "pawlat", which carries the meaning of escaping something...as in death! (Strong's #6403)

The prophecy of the key of David and the names Hilkiah and Eliakim...my portion is Yahweh, and El raises...is now shown to be the resurrection IN YAHWEH'S GREAT NAME!

He shall cry unto me, Thou art my father, my El, and the rock of my salvation. Also I will make him my firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth. My mercy will I keep for him for evermore, and my covenant shall stand fast with him. [Psalm 89:26-28]

The Son becomes THE FIRSTBORN! He must, by the act of death, INHERIT The Father's Name! "And they shall hang upon him all the glory of his father's house..." the glory of YAHWEH'S NAME!

How do we know that it is the glory of The Name? Because, Moses wanted to see the glory of the Almighty...and was told that He would proclaim THE NAME...YAHWEH!

And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory.
And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of YAHWEH before thee
; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy. ...
And YAHWEH descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name YAHWEH. And YAHWEH passed by before him, and proclaimed, YAHWEH, YAHWEH mighty (one), merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.
And Moses made haste, and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshipped. [Exo 33:18-19; 19:5-8]

So scripture clearly points to the son bearing the glory of Yahweh's name!

However, let's be crystal clear this... THE BLOOD of the sacrifice was poured out as a sin offering...and was left outside the camp...which means it could not be resurrected. How is THE BLOOD identified? Specifically....by THE NAME...YAH'SHUA! Therefore, His prophetic human name is identified with the sin that it bore, being poured out, and not subject to the resurrection!
The prophetic human name is defiled with sin by identification with the blood. Sin could never be reinstated in the Father's presence (the holy of holies), therefore, neither the blood nor the name could be resurrected. It's sole purpose was for the atonement of sin.
So consider this: Can sin stand in the holy of holies? No! Sin is the abomination that cannot be put into the holy of holies, but if the name associated with sin, which was under a curse and blotted out of the book of life...making the man who bore sin...the man of sin, should be put in the holy place by putting that defiled name in the presence of the Father, it would certainly decimate the faith and salvation of those who trust in that defiled and blotted-out name!

That is why He could never be addressed by His prophetic human name...the name of sin and death! That's why Yah'shua could only be resurrected IN YAHWEH'S NAME! Moreover, this is how THE BRANCH of the Davidic line, named Yah'shua, becomes YAHWEH OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS!

Yah'shua is delivered from death when He is resurrected in Yahweh's name, and set on high at the right hand of YAHWEH! Let's read this again.

Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation. [Psa 91:14-16]

Since Isaiah says that Yah'shua (Zech 3&6) will be put to death, the fulfillment of psalm 91:16 that promises length of days must pertain to being resurrected.

Psa 16:8 I have set YAHWEH always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. 9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope. 10 For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption... [Psa 16:10]

The Holy One of Israel could not see corruption unless He became subject to corruption, that is, became a man. Therefore, the Holy One of Israel would have to become lower than what He was as eloheem.

Psalm 8:4 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? 5 For thou hast made him a little lower than eloheem, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.

The Holy One of Israel was not a created angel, so would not be compared to them.

Isaiah 46:5 To whom will ye liken me, and make me equal, and compare me, that we may be like?

Psalm 89: 6 For who in the heaven can be compared unto YAHWEH? who among the sons of the mighty can be likened unto YAHWEH? 7 Eloheem is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be had in reverence of all them that are about him. 8 O YAHWEH eloheem of hosts, who is a strong YAH like unto thee? or to thy faithfulness round about thee?

Thy throne, O Eloheem, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre. Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore Eloheem, thy Eloheem, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows. [Psalm 45:6-7]

He shall build an house for my name, and I will stablish the throne of his kingdom for ever. I will be his father, and he shall be my son. ...: [2Sam 7:13-14]

David was never the One "from everlasting" as the prophet Micah revealed. David is dead and buried, but the Branch which comes from His lineage is also the "Holy One", referring to YAHWEH, the Holy One of Israel! He was the one of old, from everlasting (Micah 5:2) which Hab 1:12 calls YAHWEH from everlasting, and Isaiah says:

Isaiah 63:16 Doubtless thou art our father, though Abraham be ignorant of us, and Israel acknowledge us not: thou, O YAHWEH, art our father, our redeemer; thy name is from everlasting.

... and Malachi says is "haAdon", the messenger of the covenant (Mal 3:1) that is, YAHWEH the Logos, the One Who Spoke the Covenant to Abraham and Moses and the children of Israel...who shall come to His Temple. And since He is also the Redeemer... Death has been swallowed up by Life! Yah'shua is the promised Messiah...YAHWEH that Saves, i.e. Yahweh-Savior...He is YahwehShua! He is in the presence of YAHWEH at the right hand of His FATHER!

I will set his hand also in the sea, and his right hand in the rivers.
He shall cry unto me, Thou art my father, my El, and the rock of my salvation.

Yah'shua was delivered from the bond of death, becoming the firstborn from the dead, holding the key of David and standing firm in Yahweh's covenant of life.

Special attention should be made regarding His "begettal". Scripture (Ps 2:8) says "Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee", refers to a direct begettal which results in being BORN by the resurrection...this begettal must be the anointing as Messiah, the receiving of the Spirit of YAHWEH, because Isaiah says...

The Spirit of Adonay YAHWEH is upon me; because YAHWEH hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; [Isaiah 61:1]

As for me, this is my covenant with them, saith YAHWEH; My spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed's seed, saith YAHWEH, from henceforth and for ever. [Isaiah 59:21]

Also I will make him my firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth.

Thus the begotten Son is made YAHWEH'S "firstborn" by the power of the resurrection!

Since "This day I have begotten thee" is the begttal that leads to the resurrection and life, it could not mean the begettal of Isaiah 7:14, which lead to a human birth and death!

The right of son-ship carries the right of inheritance, particularly the right to inherit the father's name. The Son, who is begotten, has the right to claim YAHWEH as His Father...and His Name!

The Son is resurrected in YAHWEH'S great name...therefore the Son INHERITS His Father's name, because an inheritance can only be passed on through death. He has by the resurrection from the dead inherited that more excellent name, which is higher than the angels...YAHWEH!

Just to be clear about this... this name acquired at His resurrection could not His prophetic human name, which was prophetically given at birth (not inherited). The name of glory is only acquired by inheritance through death and resurrection!

This would have to be true since His prophetic human name would be blotted out of the book of life (Deu 29:20) due to the fact that He would actually take iniquity upon Himself (Isa 53), becoming the man of sin. To deny this is to deny that He actually bore all our iniquities, thus denying His sacrifice! How can this be said? Because He could only make his grave with the wicked in His death if He actually died in sin. So, to not die in sin, means that He wasn't bearing sin or iniquity! And if He wasn't bearing sin and iniquity, then Yahweh did not put our sin on Him, we are still in our sins and He is not the Savior of anyone! Religions refuse to teach that the true Messiah died in sin because they don't know Him or how and when Yahweh disposed of sin. Though many that see this will undoubtedly try to copy this explanation!

Since a covenant is not ratified without blood, as we see in Exodus 24:8...

And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the covenant, which YAHWEH hath made with you concerning all these words. [Exo 24:8]

It was known that that life is the required atonement, because the life is in the blood. But true redemption is kind for kind. And this verse reveals WHY Yahweh came as a man to redeem humanity:

Gen 9:4 But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat. 5 And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man's brother will I require the life of man. 6 Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of Eloheem made he man.

The penalty of bloodshed is death by bloodshed. Yet all sin carries the penalty of death, so all sin must be covered by blood...a man's blood for mans' redemption!

Thus redemption must be through human blood...a kinsman-redeemer, a life for a life.

Exodus 4:22 And thou shalt say unto Pharaoh, Thus saith YAHWEH, Israel is my son, even my firstborn:

And every firstborn must be sanctified...

Exodus 13:1 And YAHWEH spake unto Moses, saying, 2 Sanctify unto me all the firstborn, whatsoever openeth the womb among the children of Israel, both of man and of beast: it is mine.

Yahweh's Firstborn from the dead has opened a new and living way for the sanctification of Israel, which is why the promises of the kingdom and eternal life are made to Israel...and why anyone who wants to share in Yahweh's promises must be adopted into Israel!

Thus saith YAHWEH, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed. Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.
Neither let the son of the stranger, that hath joined himself to YAHWEH, speak, saying, YAHWEH hath utterly separated me from his people: neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree.
For thus saith YAHWEH unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant; Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.
Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to YAHWEH, to serve him, and to love the name of YAHWEH, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant; Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.
The Sovereign YAHWEH which gathereth the outcasts of Israel saith, Yet will I gather others to him, beside those that are gathered unto him.
[Isaiah 56:1-8]

You don't have to born an Israelite to be of Israel. Join yourself to Yahweh, love His name, and rejoice in His Sabbaths, and take hold of His Covenant...and you will receive an everlasting name when YAHWEH places His name on you, and you will be kept in His Name!

Since YAHWEH'S name is the name of LIFE, and ETERNITY, The Son is able to execute a New Covenant by His blood in YAHWEH'S name.

My mercy will I keep for him for evermore, and my covenant shall stand fast with him.

YAHWEH'S covenant of promise, the Inheritance of YAHWEH'S everlasting name, thus everlasting life...and the Priesthood of the firstborn, must go to the resurrected Son, Yahweh, the Savior and Redeemer, who is made a priest for ever after the order of the King of Righteousness (Melchizedek) because of the power of an endless life...

Psalm 110:4 YAHWEH hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.

This Yahweh, the holy one of Israel, the Redeemer, emptied Himself of the power of His Name, becoming a man, Yah'shua, dying for our sins, pouring out His blood, and is sanctified in and by YAHWEH through the resurrection out from the dead. Therefore we are sanctified in Him, because He has Himself paid the ultimate price, blood for blood, to redeem mankind.

Sanctify YAHWEH of hosts himself; and let him be your fear, and let him be your dread. And he shall be for a sanctuary; but for a stone of stumbling and for a rock of offence to both the houses of Israel, for a gin and for a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem. And many among them shall stumble, and fall, and be broken, and be snared, and be taken. [Isa 8:13-15]

Remember Psalm 2:11-12

Serve YAHWEH with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

Why isn't the name YahwehShua remembered?

But I was like a lamb or an ox that is brought to the slaughter; and I knew not that they had devised devices against me, saying, Let us destroy the tree with the fruit thereof, and let us cut him off from the land of the living, that his name may be no more remembered. [Jer 11:19]

So the name of the resurrection is no more remembered! What is remembered is the name that Yahweh blotted out. That is what is read in every bible. So let the reader understand that the name which appears is not the name that saves. Therefore "seeing" must be with the heart, as Isaiah says:

And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not. Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed. [Isa 6:9-10]

The name YahwehShua was removed so that it should become the name of faith... that which is hoped for, yet unseen, so that those who are saved are saved by faith. Ask Yahweh for His Truth! Seek Him! It is The Father that must lead us by His Spirit to reveal His Son, YahwehShua.

Judgment is of the heart

Jeremiah 11:20 But, O YAHWEH of hosts, that judgest righteously, that triest the reins and the heart, let me see thy vengeance on them: for unto thee have I revealed my cause.

So we must be circumcised of heart and humble ourselves under the mighty hand of YAHWEH.

Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiffnecked. [Deuteronomy 10:16]

Micah 6:8 He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth YAHWEH require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy Eloheem?

Yet it is not in the heart of man to follow Yahweh. So Yahweh promises to circumcise our hearts for us, if we will submit to His Son, YahwehShua, because we read in Deuteronomy 30:6...

And YAHWEH thy Eloheem will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love YAHWEH thy Eloheem with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live.

Yet who believes the law when it says that Yahweh would blot out His name out of the book of life? This is Who the True Savior is! If it isn't true, then He isn't the true Savior! Can those who don't or won't believe the scriptures, that His human name was blotted out of the book of life...or that this Yah'shua didn't inherit Yahweh's name...really be believers? What about you? do you believe the scriptures?

In the great day of salvation, just before the creation of the new heavens and the new earth

For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. [Isa 65:17]

For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith YAHWEH, so shall your seed and your name remain. And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith YAHWEH. [Isa 66:22-23]

...all men will know Yahweh, from the least to the greatest, as Yahweh has said...

And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit. And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of YAHWEH come.

And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of YAHWEH shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as YAHWEH hath said, and in the remnant whom YAHWEH shall call. [Joel 2:28-32]

Will you call upon Yahweh our Savior & Redeemer...YahwehShua, to be saved? Will you honor the Son even as you honor The Father? Will you head the call to be part of the household of Yahweh? Repent...and believe the good news that the times of refreshing may come upon you.

Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.
For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little: For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.
To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: ...
Therefore thus saith the Sovereign YAHWEH, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste. [Isa 28:9-16]

This Yah'shua, the son of Yahweh, YahwehShua, is messiah and king, and is the refreshing of Yahweh!

Isa 32:3 And the eyes of them that see shall not be dim, and the ears of them that hear shall hearken. 4 The heart also of the rash shall understand knowledge, and the tongue of the stammerers shall be ready to speak plainly.... 15 Until the spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be counted for a forest.

Yahweh, the Redeemer, would become a man, a kinsman, to fulfill His promise of everlasting inheritance, He is YahwehShua, The Son of Yahweh.

Kiss the son, lest He be angry...because Yahweh, the Father, has given His Son HIS glory and authority over His house.

Assemble yourselves and come; draw near together, ye that are escaped of the nations: they have no knowledge that set up the wood of their graven image, and pray unto mighty ones that cannot save. Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I YAHWEH? and there is no Eloheem else beside me; a just El and a Saviour; there is none beside me.
Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am El, and there is none else.
I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.
Surely, shall one say, in YAHWEH have I righteousness and strength: even to him shall men come; and all that are incensed against him shall be ashamed.
In YAHWEH shall all the seed of Israel be justified, and shall glory. [Isa 45:20-25]

The testimony that Yah'shua of Nazareth is the "son, in whom I am well pleased" is stated Five times, the number of Grace, which occurred in the year 27ce, - Mat 3:17; Mat 17:5; Mark 1:11; Luk 3:22 & 2Pet 1:17, precisely when Daniel prophesied He would. Therefore, it was THIS Yah'shua Who became YAHWEH'S firstborn out from the dead ... inheriting YAHWEH'S excellent name, once again sharing the glory of The Father which He had with the Father from eternity.

He is... YAHWEH OUR SAVIOR AND REDEEMER! He is YahwehShua!

Hallelu-YAH! Praise YAHWEH Almighty!

 1. For example, the name Isaac means "laughter" in English, but we don't say that the name is "Laughter". Adam may mean "red" in English, but we don't say that the name is "Red". And in John 15:1 "I am the true vine, and my Father is the "georgos"... husbandman"... (rancher/farmer), and although the word "georgos" means "farmer", we don't say that His name is George or Farmer! Just because YAHWEH is called "georgos" it doesn't mean His name is "George", nor does it mean that translating the meaning of "georgos" into English makes His name "Farmer". Therefore, attributes translated into other languages are not names.

2. The Jewish priest, Flavius Josephesus, states that the four Hebrew letters are four "vowels" [Wars of the Jews]. There was no "J" in Hebrew, or in English until the mid 17th century. The term "Jah" from the Hebrew "yothe-hey" [YH] as in Psalm 68:4 is used 46 times, as "YAH", and often in the universal expression, Hallelujah (praise-YAH), and in name-endings such as Moriah, Abiah, Isaiah, Uzziah, Jeremiah, Obediah, Zephaniah and many others. Thus YAH makes up the first half of [YHWH] "yothe-hey-waw-hey", roughly articulated "YAHWEH", and is used nearly 7000 times in the sacred Hebrew scriptures! The reason for explaining it as "roughly articulated" is because linguists admit that the ancient Hebrew of the middle east used a soft or half-breath gutteral for the "waw", which is not natural to the Germanic language family, and difficult to reproduce.
The term "Jehovah", was a later mis-transliteration from the hybrid combination of YHWH with the vowel pointing of Adonay . "It is found in Raymond Martin's "Pugio Fidei." written in 1270 (Paris, 1651, iii., pt. ii., ch. 3, p. 448; comp. T. Prat in "Dictionnaire de la Bible," s.v.)." Later "generally held to have been the invention of Pope Leo X.'s confessor, Peter Galatin ("De Arcanis Catholicæ Veritatis," 1518, folio xliii.)". source: Jewish Encyclopedia; http://www.jewishencyclopedia.com/view.jsp?artid=206&letter=J
The pronunciation of the name YAHWEH was never lost! {see here}

3. Exo 28: 36 And thou shalt make a plate of pure gold, and grave upon it, like the engravings of a signet, HOLINESS TO YAHWEH. 37 And thou shalt put it on a blue lace, that it may be upon the mitre; upon the forefront of the mitre it shall be. 38 And it shall be upon Aaron's forehead, that Aaron may bear the iniquity of the holy things, which the children of Israel shall hallow in all their holy gifts; and it shall be always upon his forehead, that they may be accepted before YAHWEH. (also 39:30)
This shows that the High Priest is to "bear the iniquity", causing the people to be "accepted before YAHWEH". This is the significance of having YAHWEH'S name on the forehead.

Articles from Yahweh's Restoration Ministry

If You Know Him, Then What Is His Name?

Most Bible believers live a lifetime without ever seeing the glaring inconsistency in their approach to the Creator of the universe. Unlike other major world religions, whose adherents use a specific name for their deity, the name employed exclusively for the Heavenly Father worshiped in Christianity is a common and generic title, or titles. While the heathen faithful understand exactly whom they worship, millions of churchgoers call on and worship their Creator by the everyday terms lord and god, and then proceed to ask, "Do you know Him?"

The obvious fact is, churchianity has neglected the Heavenly Father’s revealed, personal Name. Many don’t even realize that He has a name, believing that the title God is a name because it is captialized. All the while they accept the fact that thousands of different denominations are worshiping under these same titles but with a plethora of contradictory beliefs and practices. Which leads one to ask, do they themselves really know Him?

Identify and Know Your Heavenly Father!

Aside from these contradictions, is the sacred Name of the Heavenly Father really that important? Does it matter what you call Him? Does He even need to have a name for proper worship, as the deities of all other religions do? Some believe that He knows who you mean no matter what you call Him. But have they considered that refusing to revere His personal Name demonstrates dishonor for the One they worship, as well as blatant defiance of His Word? He tells us precisely that in Malachi 2:2.

How many Bible believers would fall on their knees in times of desperation and call out to Baal? Or Vishnu? Or Molech? Obviously it DOES matter what name you use in worship. Names DO mean something. Names identify a particular entity who has particular traits and is worshiped in a specific manner and who (supposedly) responds in specific ways to well-defined and proper worship.

By calling on names like Vishnu and Buddha, you have conjured up a certain deity who must not be confused with the Almighty of the Bible. How can one expect the true Heavenly Father to respond to names of pagan worship? More importantly, how close is He to those who refuse His personal Name, deciding that a mere title is sufficient – a title suited for an identity lost in a sea of conflicting doctrines and beliefs? Is a title good enough for the true Mighty One when that same title can just as easily refer to other pagan deities? Notice the following.

The Apostle Paul wrote, "As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol [is] nothing in the world, and that [there is] none other Elohim but one. For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth (as there be gods many, and lords many), But to us [there is but] one Elohim, the Father, of whom [are] all things, and we in him; and one Master Yahshua, by whom [are] all things, and we by him" (1Cor. 8:4-6).

If there are many gods and lords, how can you distinguish the one worshiped with one of those titles? Regardless of the arguments and excuses people will use, Yahweh the true Father says He is jealous for His Name, and He will not allow praises to graven images that proceed from common titles, Isaiah 42:8.

Intimacy of Names

We in our Western civilization have nearly lost the significance of names. For us, Johnny is just as good as Tommy. But even then we may be influenced to choose a name for our child based on someone we know who had a particular name. In that case the name is connected to a person – maybe a father or grandfather or uncle – whose very personality and attributes come to mind when the name is spoken or referred to.

Nowhere is this more true than in Scripture. In fact, names have much greater significance when it comes to the Bible. This is particularly so with the One we worship as the Creator and Sustainer of this universe. Philippians 2:9 says His Name Yahweh is above EVERY name. No matter what we may think or want to believe, calling on His true Name is critically important to Him.

His Name reveals His special identity. He alone is the one known by His special people as the true Mighty One called Yahweh. You don’t mind when a stranger calls you "friend," or "sir," or "lady." In fact, you expect those you don’t know to use such titles. But once you are introduced and you give the other person your name, you feel put off if he or she continues to call you sir or lady. In doing so your acquaintance is rejecting the closeness that using your personal name would otherwise induce.

Yahweh feels the same way. If once we know His Name but insist on calling Him by titles of generic deities, we fall out of favor. His Name is a mark of intimate closeness. How can some claim a "personal relationship" when they don’t even call on Him by Name? In making a covenant with Israel, one of the very first things Yahweh did was to introduce them to His personal Name. He wanted and expected the intimacy that using His personal Name would engender.

Getting Down to Specifics

When Yahweh proclaimed through the prophet Isaiah in 42:8, "I am Yahweh, that is my Name," He didn’t say, "That’s one of my names" or "You can just call me whatever you wish, I’ll know who you mean." On the contrary. He said, "That is my Name." Period. End of discussion. The psalmist wrote of Him in 83:18, "... Whose Name alone is Yahweh..."

In the Bible, when a person gave his name to another individual, it signified the joining of the two in closest unity. When Yahweh gave His Name to Israel, He was joining with them – it was a marriage – the closest union two can enjoy. We as spiritual Israel and bride of the Messiah are to take on His Name as well.

Is it just coincidence that a woman takes on a man’s surname in marriage? Why is that? It is because now they are in union – they have become one in aspiration, goal, and commitment to a single cause in a family headed by the husband. (In this era of feminism it’s hard to say how long that will continue to be the practice.) Acts 15:14 tells us that Yahweh takes out from the gentiles a special people "for His Name." He is creating a family under His Name: "For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Master Yahshua the Messiah, of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named," Ephesians 3: 14-15.

Esteemed by Name

Biblically, the person and his name are virtually equivalent and inseparable. The word "name" in Hebrew is shem. Shem means a mark or a memorial – expressing a person’s individuality. A name is a mark of a person’s honor (or dishonor), his authority, and his character. In fact, a name describes and defines everything about the person. The Name Yahweh has great significance because of what it defines. Intrinsic to Yahweh’s Name is the very verb of existence.

In Exodus 3:14 He tells Moses: "I am that I am," or "ha Yah asher ha Yah" in the Hebrew. It means I am existence itself. I cause everything to come into being. His Name Yahweh describes Him, defines Him, and displays His attributes as the one who causes us to exist now and the one who can give us everlasting existence as well. Joel 2:32 prophesies that the day will come when whoever shall call on His Name will be delivered. That meaning is also intrinsic in the definition of His Name: "I am" or "I will be." "Yahweh" connotes, "I will be there (for you)," especially when you need deliverance.

His Name is also a family Name. His people, His very Chosen, are called by His Name: "O Yahweh, hear; O Yahweh, forgive; O Yahweh, hearken and do; defer not, for your own sake, O my Elohim: for your city and your people are called by your name" (Dan. 9:19). His people take on this wonderful Name because they are in covenant union with Him – obeying Him and pleasing Him in all that they do. Astoundingly, His Name Yahweh is found no fewer than 6,823 times in ancient Hebrew manuscripts of the Bible. It simply cannot be ignored.

The Error in ‘But I speak English’

Then there is the common argument, "I don’t call on Him by His Hebrew Name because I speak English." Does a person change his name when traveling to foreign lands in which different languages are spoken? Or is his name the same everywhere he goes? Does he get a new passport at each new port of entry? Or is John Doe still "John Doe" in each country he visits? Obviously his name remains unchanged, being spelled the same no matter where he goes.

What is the English equivalent of Franzois Mitterrand? It’s Francois Mitterrand, is it not? What is the English form of Boris Yeltsin? Why, it’s Boris Yeltsin. If the argument is, I speak English therefore I use English names, then what is "Satan" in English? Satan is a name transliterated in Scripture, as are many others. As with Yahweh, the name Satan is Hebrew. The English form of Abraham is also Abraham, a Hebrew name right out of the Hebrew Scriptures and carried over almost unaltered into our English translation. What about Daniel, also a Hebrew name? What’s the English equivalent for Daniel? The name is Daniel, of course. How about Sarah and Martha?

These are all Hebrew names unaltered in the English translation because names simply are not translated. Names are transliterated, meaning that the sounds are brought across unchanged from one language to another. We have no problem with using these Hebrew names without an English equivalent because THERE IS NO ENGLISH EQUIVALENT! Why should Yahweh’s Name be any different? Why should the most important Name in the universe not just be altered, but completely replaced? (The term "god" is not an English word anyway. It derives from the Germanic Gott.)

Common Words and Names with ‘Yah’

One of the most popular words of praise is halleluyah. One can hear it in churches all around the globe. It’s one of the most ancient words of exultation in existence, and is a purely Hebrew term. "Hallel" means "praise" in Hebrew, and "Yah" is the first part of the sacred Name Yahweh (i.e. Yah-weh). Therefore halleluYah means "Praise Yah." Most do not realize that the most common word of praise contains our Heavenly Father’s very Name—"Hallelu-Yah." We see this word especially in the form hallelu-jah, but the "j" is derived from the Hebrew yod, which is a consonant-vowel equivalent to the Y. Another fact many overlook is that there was no letter J in any Hebrew, Greek or Anglo-Saxon alphabet. Therefore the original letter could not have been a J but an I or Y. The J is the newest letter in our alphabet and came into existence about the time of Christopher Columbus.

The "J" is merely an "I" with a tail on it, with a "juh" sound that evolved only recently. The "J" and "I" were used interchangeably until the 17th century. Scripture records many well-known names that contain the name of the Heavenly Father. "Elijah" was not pronounced that way in the Scriptures. It was "Eliyah," a name that means, "my El is Yah." Isaiah (YeshaYah) is a Hebrew name that means "salvation of Yah." Jeremiah (YirmeYah) means "whom Yah raises up," and Zephaniah (ZephanYah) is "hidden of Yah." Many other writers and prophets were named after Yahweh, showing the close bond they had with Him.

Inconsistencies in Argument for English

If one sticks to the position that because we speak English we should not use Hebrew forms, then we shouldn’t use the forementioned names, either, because they are Hebrew names and "we don’t speak Hebrew." It would not be right to apply that argument just to Yahweh’s Name and not to all the other Hebrew names and words in the Bible – like "Sabbath," a Hebrew name, and "Messiah," another Hebrew word.

What about all the cities in the Scriptures, like Jerusalem, Nazareth, Bethlehem, and the names of hundreds of other people, places, rivers, seas, deserts, and mountains? These would all need to be changed to English equivalents to be consistent with the argument calling for the exclusive use of English. The problem is, there are no equivalent English forms for these Hebrew names! Neither is there an adequate equivalent or substitute name or title for Yahweh’s great Name.

Let’s pursue this argument a bit further.

‘Dear (Nameless) President’

What is the English name for Yahweh? Can it be G-d, with a capital G?

First, we must realize that "god" is not a name but a title. Paul said there are gods many and lords many. Titles do not define specific individuals. There are many presidents in our country – presidents of corporations, colleges, board presidents, bank presidents...but there is only one president of General Motors, only one president of Harvard, only one president of Citibank – and each has a specific, identifiable name that he answers to.

If I wrote a letter addressed, "Dear President," it could apply to any one of these presidents. Only when I include the name with that title do I reveal whom I am specifically addressing. If I pray to the god of this world, Paul in 2Corinthians 4:4 says that I could be praying to Satan because Satan is called a "god of this world," as are thousands of other god deities man has worshiped throughout history. Even then, those deities had specific NAMES attached to their titles.

Our Foreign, English Language

Is "God" simply an equivalent for "Yahweh," used by English-speaking, Bible believers?

Does He expect His people to change His Name to some other form according to the language they speak? And is that even possible? The Oxford English Dictionary (OED) says "god" derives from the Dutch god, stemming from the Old High German, gott. It sprang from the Gothic guth, going back to the Teutonic gudo, which stems from two Aryan roots – one meaning to invoke, the other to pour in the sense of a molten image.

The point is, can we say that God is an English word? Far from it! Its common English usage belies ancient foreign origins. Relatively few of the words we use in English are in fact pure English. The word "English" itself isn’t even English! England is from "Englaland," land of the Angles. Who were the Angles? Germans from the lowlands of Germany who settled in eastern England in the 5th century (see "English," OED)

Our Impure ‘English’ Language

Our Impure ‘English’ Language

Our Impure ‘English’ Language

English is a melting pot language that borrows extensively from many languages. The statement, "I speak English so I don’t use the Hebrew name," is reasoning that lacks a historical basis in fact. Let’s analyze that statement and see just how "nonEnglish" the roots of our language really are. Discovering the origin of each of the words in that simple sentence proves enlightening indeed:

I = the letter I is the ninth letter of the alphabet, coming through the Latin from the Greek and ultimately from the Semitic or Hebrew yod – the first letter in Yahweh's Name.
speak = from the German sprechen
English =
a proper noun based in German, as already shown
so =
akin to the Gothic swa
do =
traces to sanskrit which was spoken in India
not =
Old English nought, cognate to several Old Saxon and French formations
use =
from Latin asus
the =
from Teutonic and Indo-European forms
Hebrew
= Hebrew Eber, one who "crosses over."
Name
= Greek onoma .

In the statement, "I speak English, so I do not use the Hebrew Name," the word "not" is the only one of those 10 words that is English in origin. English is not by any stretch a pure language. Much of it is from the Romance languages, and vast numbers of its words derive from Greek and Latin (and ultimately Hebrew). Most of the words we use in English come from some other language.

The point in all of this is that language has very little to do with the Name of the Mighty One of the Scriptures. He was Yahweh before He put man on earth. Before there were all these languages from Babel, He was Yahweh. His Name transcends language. "Yahweh" is existence personified. Psalm 135:13 says, "Thy Name endures forever, your memorial throughout all generations." His Name is His memorial that endures for all time.

First Commandment Is Foundational

The Ten Commandments in Exodus 20:2 begin, "I am Yahweh your Elohim which brought you out of the Land of Egypt. You shall have no other mighty ones before me." All false worship can ultimately be traced to a violation of this first of the Ten Commandments. Every sin we commit results from not putting Yahweh and His will, manifested by His laws, first.

Before He says anything, Yahweh establishes in the very first commandment that HE is Yahweh our Mighty One. Ecclesiastes 12:13 bears out this important truth: "Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear Yahweh and keep His commandments, for this is the whole [duty] of man." We continue in Exodus20:4: "You shall not make into you any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth." Heathens did not worship a stone image as a stone, but as a representation of some deity. He says don’t manufacture these things because they will remind you of some other deity, and I am the only one you are to worship.

Moving on, verse 6 tells us that if we love Him to keep the commandments and He in turn will show mercy to us. Now notice verse 7: "Thou shalt not take the name of Yahweh your Elohim in vain." What does it mean to take His Name in vain? Curse when you miss the nail with a hammer and smash your thumb? Or something far more significant?

Not in the Hebrew

"Take" is the Hebrew nasa, meaning to lift or bring to. Vain comes from shoaw, to rush over, bring to devastation, uselessness, waste – basically "take in vain" means to treat with neglect. When we trade His name exclusively for some title, we are breaking the Third Commandment.

"You shall not bring His Name to desolation or ignore it through neglect," the com- mandment says. When we use a common title in worship, we are missing the most important aspect of who Yahweh is and what He stands for; what He is all about and what He can do for us. His Name describes the very essence of who He is – Yahweh: He is existence itself. No title can mean all that His name stands for. A title defeats the purpose of a name. It just sits there like a pasted-on label, with no depth of meaning and tied to no particular identity.

"I am Yahweh, that is My Name, and My glory will I not give to another," He says in Isaiah 42:8. He and His Name are inseparable. Our hope is that you will grasp the awesome importance of this truth and will come to know your Creator through His personal, revealed Name Yahweh. Realize all that He can and will do for you if you will put Him first and honor His wonderful and powerful Name!

Yahweh
—It’s More Than a Name!

The common argument that any name is acceptable for calling on the heavenly Father not only violates the sanctity of Yahweh’s revealed, personal Name, but also is an assault on True Worship.

Now a push to unite all worship into monolithic, New Age religion is accomplishing its goals in the same way—exploiting key words that are important to proper worship and redefining them for mass consumption and unholy ends.

In the 44th chapter of Jeremiah we find our Heavenly Father Yahweh completely disgusted with His people and ready to wash His hands of them. We see a once exceedingly patient Father who has finally had enough of His rebellious children who insist on worshiping their own way no matter what.

After all the prophets He had sent to warn them, after all the trials they failed to overcome and the plagues and hardships they endured for their disobedience, nothing ever really changed.

Now the people say in defiance to the prophet, "As for the word that you have spoken unto us in the name of Yahweh, we will not hearken unto you. But we will certainly do whatsoever thing goes for out of our own mouth, to burn incense unto the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, as we have done, we, and our fathers, our kings, and our princes, in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem: for then had we plenty of victuals, and were well, and saw no evil" (Jer. 44:16-17).

Here Judah is openly reprobate and contemptuous, like a bratty child who acts up just as soon as his parent’s back is turned. These rebellious people are still wanting to worship the heathen gods. No matter what Yahweh says or does, they lust to follow the apostasy of the majority religions around them.

Yahweh decides it’s time for some drastic steps. Go ahead, then, Yahweh tells them. Keep your promise to worship in error—like the heathens around you. But know this, you may no longer use my Name. Notice:

"Therefore hear the word of Yahweh, all Judah that dwell in the land of Egypt; Behold, I have sworn by my great name, says Yahweh, that my name shall no more be named in the mouth of any man of Judah in all the land of Egypt, saying, Yahweh Elohim lives" (Jeremiah 44:26).

This is punishment for their refusal to worship Him in truth. He does not want His name tied to them or their sin of rebellion.

I follows, therefore, that for Judah to return to True Worship would mean that Judah would have to return to using His Name.

Name Identifies True Worship

The lesson for us comes down to this: You cannot worship properly without using His proper, personal Name. His Name defines the Father as well as the one worship that is uniquely His. The only True Worship in the Bible is done in and through His revealed Name.

We learn in Revelation 7:3, 14:1, and 22: 1-4 that the 144,000 faithful who are sealed in the end days are sealed with His Name in their foreheads. His Name separates True worshipers from the false and will give them literal protection from tribulation in the latter days.

Notice what James told the people gathered at Jerusalem: "Simon Peter has declared how Elohim at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name" (Acts 15:14).

The heathens had to come out of their false worship and adhere to the true Name. True Worship and His Name go together and cannot be separated.

Those who know the true Name but insist on using replacement titles are still in spiritual Egypt, in essence still sacrificing to the Queen of Heaven because they have not come to know the true Father, which comes from using His personal Name.

I there is one truth that is clearly shown throughout Scripture it is this: His Name and True Worship go hand in hand, they cannot be separated. He prohibits man from substituting His Name just as He disallows any worship other than what He prescribes.

By showing us in Jeremiah 44 that apostate worshipers are not allowed to use His Name, He is also showing us that only in His Name can one worship in truth.

The true Name is not just a matter of His "knowing who we mean" when we worship or call on Him. It is more than identity. His Name is the difference between being in the truth and being outside the truth. It’s the difference between worship that pleases Him and worship that provokes Him.

This truth is as difficult for some to accept as it is for them to accept the Sabbath over Sunday. It is nothing more than 2,000 years of entrenched tradition that has them confused. All they need to do is allow Yahweh to work with their hearts—show them the truth—and they will see the difference.

His Name identifies His people as it defines the right way of worship.

The prophet wrote: "O Yahweh, hear; O Yahweh, forgive; O Yahweh, hearken and do; defer not, for thine own sake, O my Elohim: for your city and your people are called by your Name" (Daniel 9:19).

Names in our culture are mostly labels. Not so with Yahweh. His Name signifies the one and only true Heavenly Father as opposed to the false deities of apostate worship. His Name is a true means of identification, a link to the only true Creator.

The simple lesson for Israel and for us is this: Reject True Worship and you reject His name. The reverse is also true: Reject His Name for a substitute one, and you no longer have the authentic, True Worship of the Scriptures. The two are inseparable.

Danger in Name Apathy

Names and words are powerful in ways you may not have considered. Is there any danger to the notion that any name is acceptable in worship of our Heavenly Father?

Aside from keeping us from the truth, the typical nonchalance regarding the Heavenly Father’s Name and His atypical worship is part of the general indifference that will open the door to the universal, false religion to take control soon. At the heart of this system will be a demon-backed religious leader who will demand worship on a worldwide scale.

A book called New Age Bible Versions details how the way is being paved for the great deception. It reveals that the newer translations of Scripture are taking important words and terms associated with pure worship and generalizing them to appeal to a broad spectrum of worshipers.

Highly publicized recently is the taking of male references to Yahweh in Bibles and religious song books and replacing them with general references and pronouns like "She" for "He" (as worship of the ancient, feminine goddess Sophia returns to churchianity).

Ultimately, attempts will be made to include everyone of every faith under a single, global religion. To accomplish that, the wording in new Bibles will help to ease many into further false worship.

The move is subtle now; once churchianity is rendered even more pliable, however, the complete yielding to a one-world religion will come rapidly.

Paving the way for this universal religion is a reorienting of beliefs through the manipulation of words. Unaware of what is happening, the masses accept new terminology that moves them further from what truth they had.

Titles That Thrill Satan

Turn to Luke 4:8. This is Yahshua’s response to Satan’s invitation to fall down and worship the Evil One: "And Yahshua answered and said unto him, Get behind me, Satan: for it is written, You shall worship Yahweh your Elohim, and him only shall you serve" (Luke 4:8).

The KJV says "L-rd thy G-d." The Aramaic or Hebrew, which Yahshua spoke, reads, "Yahweh your Elohim." But even in the Greek, Yahweh’s Name would have remained unchanged.

If Yahshua actually said, "Lord thy God," Satan would have been delighted. Why? Because He could have been referring to Satan himself. The Apostle Paul calls Satan the "god of this world" in 2Corinthians 4:4. In Matthew 12:24 Satan is called Beelzebub, which is another term for "Lord of the Flies."

In effect our English translation says: it is written, you shall worship the lord god—which could just as well be Satan—and him only shall you serve!

We can see how the Adversary delights when people are led to worship in common titles today. Doing so removes them from the true Father and a false one is put in His place through a generic and incorrect identification.

Any time we are not worshiping Yahweh in His true Name, we are in danger of invoking false mighty ones manufactured by the Father of lies himself—even if done in ignorance.

Change the name of the one you worship and you change WHO you worship and the WAY he is worshiped. Substitute a universal title and remove yourself from the True Yahweh. It is not simply a matter of semantics; it is not simply a choice between two alternatives. It is a matter of true versus false identification—and proper worship versus erroneous worship!

That is why Yahweh characteristically introduces Himself by Name first, then specifies precisely what worship He expects: "I am Yahweh: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images" (Isa. 42:8). In Exodus 3, Yahweh tells Moses that His Name is Yahweh, then proceeds to explain how He will bring Israel out of the sin of Egypt. They would come to know True Worship, including the Holy Days, after they first learned His personal Name.

Power Through Words

We establish our beliefs through language. Language can inspire, convict, and challenge, as in the way Yahshua used it; or it can be used to manipulate and subjugate, as despots have done over the centuries. Words can sway emotion and opinion, as in a good movie or a good book.

Even husbands, wives, and children know what the wrong word or the right word can mean in their relationships.

The use of general titles like god and lord promote universalism, which is exactly the opposite of the True faith. True Worship is narrow, specific, well defined, and includes a relatively few faithful identifying the true Father by name (Matt. 7:14).

The way of error leading to destruction is broad and many will be walking on it, Yahshua said (v. 13). One way this is accomplished is by the argument that it does not matter what we call Him. Any name or title is acceptable.

As explained, titles like god and lord are general and apply to many different mighty ones, even to Satan himself. Pagan idols as well are called by the same titles commonly used as names for the Heavenly Father.

Titles do not fix personal identity. They are like the generic "human being." To call on "G-d" is like calling your neighbor "the person."

Today’s New Babel

Even the sacred Name of the Creator Himself can lose its significance when we allow others to manipulate with words and substitute names.

The human-centered, humanistic movement that began in the Renaissance is finally succeeding in eliminating the very language of sin, which derives from a higher power. We hardly ever hear in general society terms like "immorality," "living in sin," "fornication," "virtuous," and the like, anymore.

Today man has decided to set his own standards of what is right and proper. Sin and any references to it are out, because sin recognizes a Father above, and that directly conflicts with the idea that man himself is all-knowing.

Our culture is building a new Tower of Babel, where everyone speaks the same language of moral relativism. This movement is out to change the way people think about the issue of right and wrong itself by changing their language and how right and wrong are expressed. Forces working behind the scenes have seized on the power of language to promote their own agendas.

It's all part of a revamping of Bible-based beliefs—to replace traditional and Biblical morality with humanistic beliefs. This in turn will prepare the way for the universal Man of Sin.

Instead of Biblical standards, we have today "political" correctness. As one author wrote, "Political correctness is an attempt to eliminate freedom of speech for those who hold traditional values and religious beliefs. It is overt social censorship designed to stifle the truth."

But even greater implications are those that tamper with the very nature of Almighty Yahweh and His Word. Satan is out to obliterate Yahweh and the truth of Him in a final push to prepare for His own Antimessiah.

Not just everyday words but even the Word of Yahweh is being molested and modified for an unrighteous end. A recent report notes that a prominent publisher is packaging its Bibles for worldwide distribution with the insignia, "Good News for a New Age."

Even more disturbing is how new versions are fiddling with the text itself.

Satan as God

Those who misunderstand the significance of words and names tell us that it doesn’t matter what you call the Heavenly Father. They say, "He knows who you mean" regardless. Oddly, however, those who tell us this exclusively employ the same "L-rd" and "G-d" titles, which by their universal use amount to false, replacement names.

Having been removed from the Name Yahweh, which identifies the True Mighty One of this universe and the specific worship He demands, modern worshipers have unwittingly accepted a generic title that takes them away from the only True Worship connected with His Name as well.

Not surprisingly, Satan has usurped this title. New Age and satanic writings describe Satan in terms that sound Biblical, calling Him the Divine God, saying Lucifer is God, the bringer of light, the savior of the world.

This fact will help to fulfill the prophecy of Revelation 13:4:

"And they worshiped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshiped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? Who is able to make war with him?"

But how could it happen? Quite easily. The masses are already calling on their mighty one with the same terms and titles honored in both Christianity and Satanism.

Yahweh’s Unheeded Warning

A little more deception and they simply transfer the titles from one being to another! By definition, titles can apply to any number of persons or beings.

Thus is the final fulfillment of Deuteronomy 32:17: "They sacrificed unto devils, not to Elohim; to gods whom they knew not, to new gods that came newly up, whom your fathers feared not."

There are many new "gods" coming up in this age of the New Age. Our society is becoming increasingly taken over by pagan worship and its many false deities.

But the biggest is yet to show. The very worship of the Antimessiah all starts with violating the warning in Exodus 23:13, which is just as applicable for us today as for Israel 3,000 years ago:

"And in all [things] that I have said unto you be circumspect: and make no mention of the name of other gods, neither let it be heard out of your mouth" (Exodus 23:13).

Yahweh knew clearly what He was doing by giving us this warning. He is Yahweh Almighty, the only True Father above. His Name defines Him and His name identifies Him, just as it does those He calls His People—who are called by His Name, Isaiah 43:7.

Taking His Name In Vain by Elder Evangelist Jerry Healan

Special thanks to the Honor of YAHWEH and Yah'shua for brothers Jerry Healan and Thomas A. Hobbs for the " Yahshua's Witness Magazine" and for the fine learning articles written therein for others to learn and read the truth of scriptures that uplift YAHWEH and YAH'SHUA, but also exposes the evil works  in this modern age that seeks to destroy and hide the truth of the Almighty YAHWEH from His true people.

Many take issue against the Sacred (Hallowed) name of the Creator. Yahweh, Himself, commanded, “Thou shalt not take the name of Yahweh thy Elohim in vain; for Yahweh will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain,” Ex. 20:7.

What does this mean? Most people in the world today think that using the substitute word “God” along with another English word “damn” is taking His name in vain. Now, this author doesn’t care to listen to the vile profanity that comes out of people’s mouth, but truthfully, the Creator’s name IS NOT “God.” Never has been and never will be.

By Jerry Healan

What does it mean to take Yahweh’s name in vain? Since the Hebrew language is the language of revelation, a look at the Hebrew words and their definitions will reveal much to us concerning this topic. “Vain” is translated from the Hebrew word shav. It is number 7723 in Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance and is defined as; from the same as 7722 in the sense of desolating; evil (as destructive), literally (ruin) or morally (especially guile); figuratively idolatry (as false, subjective), uselessness (as deceptive, objective; also adverbially, in vain).

Let’s also go to the word from which shav is taken. It is #7722 show, which is defined as; from an unused root meaning to rush over; a tempest; by implication, devastation.

From this examination, we can begin to understand why a person will want to “damn” someone or something utilizing the Creator’s name. To “damn” something or someone means to curse them to destruction. When someone utilizes what he thinks is the Creator’s name to curse something or someone to destruction, it actually means that they are utilizing the power of the name of the Creator to destroy that thing or person. While a person may not be truly utilizing the Creator’s name in their curse, they think that they are, thus, as a man thinks, so is he. There are grave consequences for doing such things.

But shav is utilized in other places in the Scriptures that is quite revealing, “I have hated them that regard lying (shav) vanities (hebel): but I trust in Yahweh,” Psa. 31:6. “Neither shalt thou bear false (shav) witness against thy neighbour,” Dt. 5:20.

In both of these instances, shav is translated as a lie or falsehood. Furthermore, the Prophet Isaiah is inspired to declare, “Behold, Yahweh’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your Elohim, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear. For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness. None calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies (shav); they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity,” 59:1-4.

Once again, the diversity of the word shav is revealed. The commandment forbids us to take His name in vain (shav). The use of this word in Exodus 20:7 can also mean that we must not take His name and apply it to lying, lies, falsehood, etc. But it can also be forbidding us from replacing it with another name or term, which would then be a false name, a lie.

  TO TAKE

The Hebrew word for “take” is nasa. It is defined as; a primitive root; to lift, in a great variety of applications, literal and figurative, absolute and religious. When the Scriptures speak of someone lifting up their eyes to see something, the word nasa is utilized. They would also lift up the head, the hands (in worship), a sword (to wage war), etc. When the Levites would carry or bear the ark, the word nasa was utilized.

Those who have been called and chosen as the firstfruits, have been sealed in their forehead. (Rev. 7:3)

Rev. 14:1 reveals that they have had the name of the Heavenly Father written in their foreheads. Therefore, they are lifting up (nasa), carrying (nasa) and bearing (nasa) His name.  This was one of the main purposes of Israel. They were to bring respect, honor, glory and dignity to the Heavenly Father’s name by obeying Him and His commandments.

It is decreed, “They made a calf in Horeb, and worshipped the molten image. Thus they changed their glory into the similitude of an ox that eateth grass. They forgat Elohim their saviour, which had done great things in Egypt; Wondrous works in the land of Ham, and terrible things by the Red sea,” Psa. 106:19-22.

Understand this, Yahweh was “their glory.” They made the molten image in the wilderness and named it Yahweh. “And when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down out of the mount, the people gathered themselves together unto Aaron, and said unto him, Up, make us elohim, which shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him. And Aaron said unto them, Break off the golden earrings, which are in the ears of your wives, of your sons, and of your daughters, and bring them unto me. And all the people brake off the golden earrings which were in their ears, and brought them unto Aaron. And he received them at their hand, and fashioned it with a graving tool, after he had made it a molten calf: and they said, These be thy elohim, O Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt. And when Aaron saw it, he built an altar before it; and Aaron made proclamation, and said, To morrow is a feast to Yahweh,” Ex. 32:1-5.

Yahweh is the One Who brought Israel out of Egypt. Aaron and the Israelites were making Yahweh into the image of an ox. This produces the effect of blaspheming Yahweh and His name turning His glory into shame as the Psalmist decrees, “Hear me when I call, O Elohim of my righteousness: thou hast enlarged me when I was in distress; have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer. O ye sons of men, how long will ye turn my glory into shame? how long will ye love vanity, and seek after leasing? Selah. But know that Yahweh hath set apart him that is pious for himself: Yahweh will hear when I call unto him. Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah. Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in Yahweh. There be many that say, Who will shew us any good? Yahweh, lift thou up (nasa) the light of thy countenance upon us,” Psa. 4:1-6.

Here is that word nasa again. The Psalmist is requesting Yahweh to lift up His countenance upon them (those who are righteous in Yahweh [vs. 1]). Israel turned Yahweh’s glory into shame by turning to vain idolatry. They took His name in vain because they applied it to an idolatrous image.

  TRACING MODERNDAY IDOLATRY

The Prophet Jeremiah proclaimed, “Hear ye the word of Yahweh, O house of Jacob, and all the families of the house of Israel: Thus saith Yahweh, What iniquity have your fathers found in me, that they are gone far from me, and have walked after vanity, and are become vain? Neither said they, Where is Yawheh that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, that led us through the wilderness, through a land of deserts and of pits, through a land of drought, and of the shadow of death, through a land that no man passed through, and where no man dwelt? And I brought you into a plentiful country, to eat the fruit thereof and the goodness thereof; but when ye entered, ye defiled my land, and made mine heritage an abomination. The priests said not, Where is Yawheh? And they that handle the law knew me not: the pastors also transgressed against me, and the prophets prophesied by Baal, and walked after things that do not profit. Wherefore I will yet plead with you, saith Yahweh, and with your children's children will I plead. For pass over the isles of Chittim, and see; and send unto Kedar, and consider diligently, and see if there be such a thing. Hath a nation changed their elohim, which are yet no elohim? But my people have changed their glory for that which doth not profit. Be astonished, O ye heavens, at this, and be horribly afraid, be ye very desolate, saith Yahweh. For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water,” Jer. 2:4-13.

It is interesting that the Oxford English Dictionary reveals that the English word “God” comes from two Aryan root words, both being gheu. In “The Roots Of English” Robert Claiborne reveals that gheu-1 comes from the Latin word fundere, fus-, which is defined as; to pour, whence the FUNNEL through which you pour things, and the FOUNDRY in which FUSED (molten) metal is poured into molds. Figurative uses include CONFUSE (“pour together”), DIFFUSE (“pour apart”), PROFUSE (“pouring forth”), TRANSFUSE (“pour across”), and REFUND (“pour back”), To REFUSE is an other kind of “pouring back” – though some derive the word from a different root. A more remote Latin relative is futilis, easily emptied, leaky; pouring water into a leaky vessel is FUTILE.

Do you begin to get the point? The English word “God” is associated with a FOUNDER! It has to do with a MOLTEN IMAGE! It is associated with a more remote Latin word futilis from which we get another English word FUTILE! Futile and vain are synonyms! It also has to do with pouring water into a LEAKY VESSEL, which is what Israel did when they rejected Yahweh and descended into the vanity (futility) of idolatry!

Jeremiah decrees, “Every man is brutish in his knowledge: every founder is confounded by the graven image: for his molten image is falsehood, and there is no breath in them. They are vanity, and the work of errors: in the time of their visitation they shall perish,” Jer. 10:14-15.

The English words “foundry/founder and confound/confounder are derivatives of the root  word gheu-1! To confound also means to confuse (also related to gheu-1). A molten image is falsehood and therefore a lie. Lies confuse and destroy.

The knowledge of man is absolutely brutish. In Old Testament times, men cut trees, shaped them into images, overlaid them with gold and silver and fell down and worshipped them. The Israelites made calves out of pure gold and fell down and worshipped them, the works of men’s hands. This is brutish.

But Yahshua came to infuse His followers with the Holy Spirit beginning a new era, a new age. This was called the New Testament age. Under the New Testament certain things were changed. Animal sacrifices were changed to spiritual sacrifices, “Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to Elohim by Yahshua the Messiah,” 1 Pet. 2:5.

The physical temple was destroyed because, as it says, Yahshua’s disciples are built up a spiritual house. However, the history of those who follow Yahshua, the seven assemblies of Revelation chapters 1-3, is revealed in those same chapters. They lose their first love, are persecuted and slain, begin to dwell where Satan’s throne is, allow a Jezebel to enter into the body and cause His own servants to eat things sacrificed to idols. They have a name as if they are alive, but are dead. They think that they are abounding because they are rich and increased with goods, but Yahshua says that they are blind, poor (spiritually) and naked!

NAKED!!! That’s exactly what happened with the Israelites when they danced around the golden calf, worshipping it as Yahweh their Elohim Who delivered them from Egypt. (Ex. 32:25). Nakedness has to do with idolatry! The final assembly addressed in Rev. 3 is naked! They are practicing idolatry, dancing around a golden calf. Not a physical golden image, but an image made to be spiritual through the very word GOD! I know that this is very hard to believe, but it is the truth.

The second root word for God, gheu (h) is defined as; to call, invoke, whence the Gc GOD one invokes, and GIDDY – a word much weakened from its original sense, “possessed by a god, insane

 EYE-OPENING RESEARCH

Evangelist Garner Ted Armstrong wrote a booklet entitled “What Is God’s Name” in 1992. On page 6 he wrote, “Take, for example, our English word “God.” Where did it come from? The Encyclopedia Britannica, eleventh edition, says, “God. The common Teutonic word for a personal object of worship…The word ‘God’ [German “Gott” from “Guth,” which was related to Taurus, the Bull] on the conversion of the Teutonic races to Christianity, was adopted as the name of the one Supreme Being, the Creator of the universe… ‘God’ is a word common to all Teutonic languages. In Gothic it is Guth; Dutch has the same form as English; Danish and Swedish have Gud, German Gott. According to the New English Dictionary, the original may be found in two Aryan roots, both of the form gheu, one of which means ‘to invoke,’ the other ‘to pour’, the last is used of sacrificial offerings. The word would thus mean the object either of religious invocation or of religious worship by sacrifice. It has also been suggested that the word might mean a ‘molten image’ from the sense of pour.’” (Vol. 12: p. 169).”

He added, “Sure, no modern American or Briton thinks he is using a word which connotes a molten image, or means “to pour,” no matter the ultimate Aryan roots of the English word.” (pp. 6-7)

How true this is! No one thinks that they are addressing a molten image made in the form of a calf or ox. But the book of Revelation says that there is a great serpent called Satan and the devil who has deceived the whole world (Rev. 12:9).

Sin is the transgression of the law. The penalty of sin is death, but people who have never studied the Bible, who have never seen one, never read it, nor have been taught out of it, don’t understand what sin is. They go about sinning in ignorance, yet they still suffer the consequences of breaking the law because of those sins. Many who are supposedly taught out of the Bible are also ignorant of what sin is.

Another attempt to justify the word “God” was presented by the Christian Churches of God in Australia, by one Wade Cox. In an article entitled “The Etymology of the Name God” more eye-opening information is found. They write, “Objections to the use of the word God stem from the understanding that the Babylonian deity of fortune was Baal-Gad (pronounced gawd). It is then assumed that the term is pagan if the word God is used.

“The term God in the ancient Anglo-Saxon comes from the word Goode, or Goot as in the Dutch and German. The word is actually a Hebrew word from which gad itself in the sense of SHD 1410 is derived. The word is SHD 1464 Guwd (pronounced goode). The tribes of Israel, when taken into captivity, took with them this name. It was used also by the Assyrians who captured them. It is a prime root meaning to crowd upon or attack and this means to invade or to overcome. It is this sense of overcoming, as God is the centre of power, that the term is used. Guwd or Goode is not the same as gad or Baal-Gad worshipped by the Babylonians. One is a perversion of the concepts of the other.

“The word God is derived from the old Teutonic form gudo which meant that which is invoked (or worshipped) by sacrifice (cf. Oxford English Universal Dictionary, art. God, p. 808). This was adapted among the Teutonic tribes in the variant forms.

“The words are further misunderstood from a symbolism adopted in early Hebrew and among the Semites. This was instanced in the practice of referring to the deity by the symbolism of a bull. The clear indication comes from Psalm 22:12. The strong Bulls of Bashan which are associated with Gilead are of the word form SHD 47. This word and the word form SHD 6499 are combined in usage, and both are termed bulls.

“The word rendered strong bulls is actually the word abbiyr derived from SHD 46 ‘abiyr meaning mighty one and spoken of God. SHD 47 abbiyr means angel [heavenly messenger], bull or chiefest, mighty one, stout, strong or valiant.

“The terms occur in Psalm 22:12 where the bulls are reduced to lesser beings. They occur in Psalm 50:13; 68:30; Isaiah 34:7; and Jeremiah 50:11.

“Jeremiah 52:20 refers to the twelve brazen bulls under the altar by the term SHD 1241 baqar in distinction to the term abbiyr which he uses elsewhere.

“The representation of the loyal heavenly Host as bulls representing God is ancient, even being found in pre-Hebrew culture. The Babylonian system in its mystery cults adopted the bull-slaying typology which carried into Mithraism. The bull-slaying typology is a representation of the wars in the heavens (see David Ulansey The Origins of the Mithraic Mysteries, Oxford, 1989 for the cosmology; Perseus is the bull-slayer for the Mysteries). This symbolism is carried on in the association with the mighty one and the centrality of goodness or Gott or Goode.

“The English word God, via the Teutonic Gudo and the earlier forms, is associated with the ancient Semitic and Hebrew as we see above. Thus, the bull was both symbol of reverence and the significant sacrifice. Hence, the name came to be associated with the bull. This pointed towards the sacrifice of Messiah as the Bull of Atonement. This understanding was long held among the Semites from Shem as high priest from the post-flood epoch. From recent finds, it seems this as further distorted in the system at Ur.

“Yahovah is the Bull of Israel. He is Messiah as the Great Bull of Heaven acting for the Father, the centre of ultimate goodness.” (end of excerpt)

 UNDERSTANDING

Sadly, neither Garner Ted Armstrong nor Wade Cox understand what is revealed here in their own writings and attempts to justify the use of the word God to represent not only the Creator, but His name. Wade Cox denies that the word God is associated with Baal-Gad, but reveals that God is a Hebrew word associated with a bull, which the Israelites that went into Assyrian captivity had been utilizing and had taken with them. It was even a word that was being utilized by the Assyrians themselves.

The history of the northern kingdom of Israel is that once broken off from association with the kings of Judah, their own kings made golden calves placing one in Dan and the other in Bethel worshipping them as the Elohim that delivered them from Egypt (1 Kings 12:28-30). Notice that in verse 30 it says that this thing became a sin!

The northern kingdom of Israel was overthrown and destroyed because they refused to repent of Baal worship. Wade reveals that the word God is associated with a bull. Garner Ted reveals that the word God is associated with a bull, specifically a bull god.

Wade reveals that the worship of bulls as gods predates the Hebrew culture and such is truly the case. As a matter of fact, Pharaoh was worshipped as the son of god through the Apis bull. Even though Wade denies it, his own research reveals that Baal-Gad was most certainly associated with the bull-god. The Israelites were worshipping Baal. Baal was their god, their bull.

Yahweh delivered Israel from Egypt and the worship of Pharoah along with his bull-god. But Israel made an image of the calf in the wilderness and began to worship it as Yahweh. This displeased Yahweh so much that He was ready to destroy the whole house of Israel and make a great nation out of Moses alone. (Ex. 32:9-10) But Moses interceded for the people and Yahweh repented (changed His mind) concerning the proposed destruction.

But later Israel’s kings committed the same sin by causing the people to worship the bull gods. Once again, Yahweh was highly displeased and sent EliYah the Prophet to reveal to the people Who the true Elohim was. While he did expose that Yahweh was the true Elohim to the people, EliYah feared for his life because of the threatenings of Jezebel, wife of King Ahab. EliYah fled for his life and the people failed to repent of their calf worship. (1 Kings chapters 18 & 19) Eventually, they were destroyed because they were unrepentant and taken into captivity by the Assyrians.

Garner Ted wrote in his booklet, “It is also important to understand that God does not frown upon everything created by “pagan (or non-Hebrew) cultures. He forbids only those things that are contrary to His laws and things that misrepresent Who and What He is!” (IBID, p. 7)

YES!!! ABSOLUTELY!!! And our research coupled with theirs reveals that the word God makes Him into the image of a bull, which the Scriptures reveal is very displeasing to Him!

 BLASPHEMING YAHWEH’S NAME

The Psalmist laments, “O Elohim, how long shall the adversary reproach? Shall the enemy blaspheme thy name for ever?... Remember this, that the enemy hath reproached, O Yahweh, and that the foolish people have blasphemed thy name,” Psa. 74:10, 18.

Once again we can make extremely important discoveries by looking into the Hebrew language. When it asks the question, “Shall the enemy blaspheme thy name for ever?”, the Hebrew word for “enemy” is tsar. The Hebrew language identifies the enemy! The enemy is the Tsar! The Tsar was the head of the newly reformed Roman Empire. The head of Roma Nova (New Rome) was none other than one called Constantine the Great!

Constantine forbade any Hebrew writings. He decreed torture and death to any who were found with Hebrew writings in their possession, especially the New Covenant. He had the Scriptures converted to the Greek language and the names of the Father Yahweh and Yahshua changed to Theos and Iesous.

Consider this, Rome was the fourth kingdom of Daniel chapter two and the fourth BEAST of Daniel chapter seven! Constantine feigned repentance, entered into the New Covenant Assembly and then, as the emperor, the Augustus, the Czar, the head of the Roman Empire, began to dictate how the corrupted remnants of the disciples were to worship.

The same Psalm says, “Thine enemies roar in the midst of thy congregations; they set up their ensigns for signs,” v. 4. The Hebrew for both “ensigns” and “signs” is owth. The primary sign (owth) that Yahweh gave to Israel was the seventh day Sabbath (Ex. 20:8-11), which was to be observed every week, of course. Constantine decreed that Sunday, the first day of the week, would replace the Sabbath.

Yahweh gave Israel the annual feast days (Lev. 23) as other signs (owth), but Constantine changed them to the observance of December 25 th, Easter, etc. Because of this, the prophet Isaiah declares, “For thus saith Yahweh, Ye have sold yourselves for nought; and ye shall be redeemed without money. For thus saith Sovereign Yahweh, My people went down aforetime into Egypt to sojourn there; and the Assyrian oppressed them without cause. Now therefore, what have I here, saith Yahweh, that my people is taken away for nought? They that rule over them make them to howl, saith Yahweh; and my name continually every day is blasphemed,” Isa. 52:3-5!

Jeremiah warns, “Thus saith Yahweh of hosts, Hearken not unto the words of the prophets (or preachers) that prophesy (or preach) unto you: they make you vain: they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of Yahweh. They say still unto them that despise me, Yahweh hath said, Ye shall have peace; and they say unto every one that walketh after the imagination of his own heart, No evil shall come upon you,” 23:16-17.

The word “despise” is translated from the Hebrew word na’ats. It is the exact same word that is translated as “blaspheme” and “blasphemed” in Psa. 74:10 & 18. It is the very same word that is translated as “blasphemed” in Isa. 52:5. Thus, this could be translated here in Jeremiah as “…them that blaspheme me!” After all, something that is blasphemous is also something that is despised.

How have they blasphemed Yahweh and His Son? By replacing their names for the names of the pagan Baal gods. This same chapter, Jeremiah 23, goes on to declare, “I have heard what the prophets (or preachers) said, that prophesy (or preach) lies in my name, saying, I have dreamed, I have dreamed. How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets that prophesy lies? yea, they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart; Which think to cause my people to forget my name by their dreams which they tell every man to his neighbour, as their fathers have forgotten my name for Baal,” 23:25-27.

 TREACHERY

The Prophet Isaiah is inspired to declare, “But ye are they that forsake Yahweh, that forget my holy mountain, that prepare a table for that troop (Gad/God), and that furnish the drink offering unto that number (Meniy),” Isa. 65:11.

“That troop” is translated from a Hebrew PROPER NOUN, which is the word Gad (pronounced God)! “That number” is translated from a Hebrew PROPER NOUN, which is the word Meniy! Gad/God was also the Babylonian deity of fortune. Meniy was the Babylonian deity for apportioning or numbering. As in many, many things, these names and meanings have been carried over to our day!

Notice that they “prepare a table.” A table is where we eat our food, which anciently was called meat or bread. What is one of the key things that we apportion or number in today’s world? Isn’t it our MONEY? Don’t we number, or apportion, or count our MONEY? Isn’t our FORTUNE appraised or estimated in dollars? Isn’t a slang term for our money, our dollars, “BREAD?”

What do we put on our money/Meniy? Don’t we put “In God we trust?” Do you get it? We put the name of the Babylonian deity of fortune, “GOD,” on our money/MENIY!

Our politicians, our government loves this God, this FORTUNE, this apportionment, this MONEY/MENIY! Our merchants love it. Our churches love it. They love to pass the plate every time they meet to worship God, the deity of fortune! The criminals love it. They will commit crime, steal, and even kill for it!

Furthermore, “In God” can be translated into a Hebrew word BaGad (dgb/dgb). Let’s take a look at how this word is utilized in the Scriptures. “A grievous vision is declared unto me; the treacherous (dgb/dgb) dealer dealeth treacherously (dgb/dgb), and the spoiler spoileth. Go up, O Elam: besiege, O Media; all the sighing thereof have I made to cease,” Isa. 21:2.

“From the uttermost part of the earth have we heard songs, even glory to the righteous. But I said, My leanness, my leanness, woe unto me! the treacherous (dgb/dgb) dealers have dealt treacherously (dgb/dgb); yea, the treacherous (dgb/dgb) dealers have dealt very treacherously,” Isa. 24:16.

“Yahweh said also unto me in the days of Josiah the king, Hast thou seen that which backsliding Israel hath done? she is gone up upon every high mountain and under every green tree, and there hath played the harlot. And I said after she had done all these things, Turn thou unto me. But she returned not. And her treacherous (dgb/dgb) sister Judah saw it. And I saw, when for all the causes whereby backsliding Israel committed adultery I had put her away, and given her a bill of divorce; yet her treacherous (dgb/dgb) sister Judah feared not, but went and played the harlot also. And it came to pass through the lightness of her whoredom, that she defiled the land, and committed adultery with stones and with stocks. And yet for all this her treacherous (dgb/dgb) sister Judah hath not turned unto me with her whole heart, but feignedly, saith Yahweh. And Yahweh said unto me, The backsliding Israel hath justified herself more than treacherous (dgb/dgb) Judah,” Jer. 3:6-11.

“Oh that my head were waters, and mine eyes a fountain of tears, that I might weep day and night for the slain of the daughter of my people! Oh that I had in the wilderness a lodging place of wayfaring men; that I might leave my people, and go from them! for they be all adulterers, an assembly of treacherous (dgb/dgb) men. And they bend their tongues like their bow for lies: but they are not valiant for the truth upon the earth; for they proceed from evil to evil, and they know not me, saith Yahweh,” Jer. 9:1-3.

“Woe to her that is filthy and polluted, to the oppressing city! She obeyed not the voice; she received not correction; she trusted not in Yahweh; she drew not near to her Elohim. Her princes within her are roaring lions; her judges are evening wolves; they gnaw not the bones till the morrow. Her prophets are light and treacherous (dgb/dgb) persons: her priests have polluted the sanctuary, they have done violence to the law,” Zeph. 3:1-4.

The prophets now, as then, deal “In God,” “In treachery” (dgb/dgb). Our political and governmental system is treacherous! Our merchandising system is treacherous! Our religious systems (Christian, Jewish, Moslem, pagan) are treacherous! Our financial, our monetary system is treacherous! All deal “IN GOD”! All deal in the Babylonian deity of FORTUNE (GAD/GOD)! None truly trust in, nor know, nor care to know YAHWEH!

John is inspired to write, “And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters: With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication. (the drink offering of Meniy/money) So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy (one of those names is God), having seven heads and ten horns. And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Yahshua: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration,” Rev. 17:1-6.

For those who can’t seem to make the connection, here is Babylon, even in the end-time. If Babylon and her mystery religion is still prevalent, so are the names of her deities, which are names of blasphemy. The kings, the merchants, the prophets (preachers/religions) and the people love Babylon, her ways, her deception, her treachery.

Yahweh says to come out of her My People so that you will not be partakers of her sins and receive not of her plagues that are soon to be poured out (Rev. 18:1-8).

 DESTRUCTION FORETOLD

Today’s preachers and prophets are committing a very grievous error. They proclaim that the name of our Creator Yahweh isn’t important. They cause the people to hate and despise (blaspheme) the true names of the Father and Son because their kings, rulers and leaders deem it more important to love the names of Baal rather than the truth.

Jeremiah is inspired to declare, “Behold, a whirlwind of Yahweh is gone forth in fury, even a grievous whirlwind: it shall fall grievously upon the head of the wicked.  The anger of Yahweh shall not return, until he have executed, and till he have performed the thoughts of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it perfectly,” 23:19-20.

The Hebrew for “whirlwind” is ca’ar. Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance defines this word as a HURRICANE! It is generally translated in the Scriptures as storm, tempest, whirlwind. In these last days we have suffered much destruction from hurricanes and tornados. But more devastation is yet to come. You see, Yahweh has allowed man, in these last days, to be able to develop weapons of mass destruction. Atomic and hydrogen bombs create a great whirlwind of destruction. But this is only part of the story. Some of the most deadly and dangerous chemicals and biological weapons have also been created. Minute traces of some of the most deadly chemicals can be put into the water supply of cities that can destroy all who drink thereof. Great plagues can ravage unchecked if certain biological agents are released.

These are the latter days when Yahweh is going to make an end of iniquity. This article is being written as a warning for those kings, rulers, leaders, preachers, ministers, churches, assemblies and people (both Gentile and Israelite) who are blaspheming Yahweh’s and Yahshua’s names by continually refusing to repent and turn to the truth.

When Moses returned from the mount, he beheld what the Israelites were doing. He angrily burnt the idol, crushed it to powder and made the Israelites drink of it. He then, “…stood in the gate of the camp, and said, Who is on Yahweh’s side? Let him come unto me. And all the sons of Levi gathered themselves together unto him. And he said unto them, Thus saith Yahweh Elohim of Israel, Put every man his sword by his side, and go in and out from gate to gate throughout the camp, and slay every man his brother, and every man his companion, and every man his neighbour. And the children of Levi did according to the word of Moses: and there fell of the people that day about three thousand men. For Moses had said, Consecrate yourselves to day to Yahweh, even every man upon his son, and upon his brother; that he may bestow upon you a blessing this day,” Ex. 32:26-29.

Do you get that? They slew their brothers, friends, neighbors and even sons! Yahweh had to destroy His own children, the children of Israel for their unrepentant Baal/bull/God worship. Then He had to turn around and destroy the remnant of Israelites, the kingdom of Judah because of their worship of the Baal gods.

In these last days, another evil system has reared up its ugly head and mightily deceived the people into Baal/bull/God worship. While the people may be ignorant and deceived concerning this, the fact of the matter is that when Yahshua (Moses was a type of Yahshua) returns from the mount, from the Father’s throne to this earth, He is going to make war against the kingdoms of this world and destroy them. He will also decree, “But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me,” Lk. 19:27.

Therefore, we must presently take up the double-edged sword of Yahweh’s word in today’s world. With that sword we must cut the opposers who revel in idols, images, bulls, Gods, falsehood, lies, deceit, guile, etc., asunder. We must lift up the truth concerning Yahweh, Yahshua, their word and their ways, so that whosoever will may be drawn unto them. We must lift up our voices and the points of our pens declaring, writing, and encouraging repentance before the dreadful day of Yahweh come.

Repent of taking Yahweh’s name in vain (shav) all people’s of the earth! Give the honor, esteem, glory, etc. to whom it is due. Lift (nasa) His true name and the true name of His Son into the exalted places wherein they belong!
